In the short term, there will be rough edges, and only a narrow set of supported codecs (only H.264 and H.265 are standardised today, with AV1 still a work in progress), but in the future, it will hopefully be the most performant and capable way to do hardware decoding and processing. However, Vulkan video decoding has the potential to be a credible cross-vendor, cross-platform API that is well supported, and can work efficiently with Vulkan based filtering and post-processing. Right now, the actual functionality you gain access to is not terribly different from what you would get with existing video decoding APIs that ffmpeg and mpv already support. Why should I even care about Vulkan video decoding? This document attempts to lay out all the requirements and limitations, so you have a chance of successfully using the feature. Although the functionality is now all there, we still have a complex landscape in terms of what is supported on what hardware and with what drivers. On the 28th of May, we reached the significant milestone of finally merging all the required functionality into ffmpeg, libplacebo, and mpv to do end-to-end Vulkan video decoding and presentation. However, if you have the side quest in your log about seeking the portals, you can then go talk to the librarian in Haven's temple. To slightly add to this explanation, not all the portals may be found next to clans, I think that's quite random. if Haven lies to the south west from your current location, you would have to walk down and to the left to reach the exit. The spirit world was a little like the world map. Once you have powered the second portal you can enter the spirit world (dangers ahead!) and exit through the portal that connects your location with Haven. Each ruin had also some treasure containing a sigil that I could use to power the shut down portal. Usually only 1 step away from the other clans headquarter, located in a ruin. In my world every portal was quite close to another clan. To get the achievement I mentioned, you will have to power a second portal. This conversation should open a questline that you can view when you use the TABULATOR key. He will explain that this portal needs to be powered with a sigil (I think a sky sigil is it). Our game breaks away from traditional RPG norms, eliminating grind, XP, or gold, and instead, focusing on your choices and their far-reaching consequences. Not in a building, but outside in the village. Unexplored 2 offers a vast, rich fantasy world that unravels over several generations of Wayfarers. In Haven you should meet some kind of priest next to a device. Nowadays our “regular” hard drives achieve 96MB/sec. The old hard drives we were defragging back then probably had transfer speeds of between 40MB/sec. I seem to recall that Auslogics defrag completed faster, and didn’t they claim to move frequently used programs to the beginning/outer edge of hard drive disk for faster loading as well as make files more contiguous? If so, we saw no big improvement, just a faster defrag process. Supported OS: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.We used Auslogics defrag on a couple of our XP computers and it worked OK, but we could tell no significant difference in bootup time or program loading compared to using Windows XP’s own defrag feature.
